Corten Amazonite

Amazonite Corten quartzite is a natural stone quarried in South America. Its name refers precisely to the typical color of the metal that resists corrosion, which is why it is a sought-after solution as a decorative element in architecture. It occurs on a teal base with dotted and streaked shades of copper color or, as the stone's name implies, corten color.

Description

Corten Amazonite is a very distinctive quartzite, as it is composed of two complementary colors, blue and orange, a cool and a warm hue. This mix creates a simultaneous contrast that makes the colors appear brighter to the eye, drawing the viewer's attention.
The bright blue at the base is reminiscent of a spectrum of water on which natural elements float, which, depending on exposure to light beams, acquire a reddish-brown, copper-like hue.

Use

Amazonite Corten quartzite is a natural stone suitable primarily for interiors. Its contrasting colors make it a modern solution, easy to combine with other materials, such as wood and metals within industrial-style projects, but also suitable for coexistence with contemporary or classic plasters and fabrics.
It is a very hard and durable material that can be worked to bring home and office objects to life. It accommodates most processing, but the one that absolutely brings out its unique colors is the glossy effect; warm hues ranging from reddish-brown to orange give brightness to the places in which it is laid.
